M.I.A. slips a modern history lesson about the plight of Sudanese refugees in Darfur into her latest single - to make sure the topic stays alive.The British born Sri Lankan star is passionate about raising awareness of the destruction of war in Sudan, and hope she can educate her fans.M.I.A. says, "It's important to keep certain issues above water, and sometimes the only way to do it is by throwing it in places where people don't expect it.

"How do you get people involved, make them feel they can talk about it or be a part of it in a good way? That's what we have to push".
