Madonna, might claim to be like a virgin, but a Chilean priest has spoken out against the recently divorced material girl.

Retired Cardinal Jorge Medina, the cardinal who was chosen to announce the election of Pope Benedict XV, said: "This woman comes here and, in an incredibly shameless manner, she provokes a crazy enthusiasm, an enthusiasm of lust, lustful thoughts, impure thoughts."

Interestingly, he stated this during mass which was held to credit deceased Augusto Pinochet, the dictator responsible for more than 3,000 deaths and the torture of 30,000 people during his rule between 1973 and 1990.

However, the rest of Chile seems to approve of the Like a Virgin singer, as she has sold out both of her shows in Santiago, the Chilean Capital.

Each night she will be performing to 60,000 screaming fans, and one in particular quit his job especially for the occasion.

Roberto Lupez told reporters that his boss wouldn’t allow him time off work to attend the concert, so he resigned instead.

Not a stranger to controversy, the Erotic singer famously shot to sex-symbol status in the 80’s making a point of staying in shape, and showing off her body with pointed bustiers and not much else.
