Madonna kicks off in Cardiff

Madonna's world tour will kick off in Wales. The first date of the 'Sticky and Sweet' tour will be on August 23 at the Millennium stadium in Cardiff.The '4 Minutes' singer will then play a host of other major European cities, including London's Wembley Stadium on September 11 and Paris on September 20.She will then embark on the US leg on October 3, starting off in New Jersey.The tour will end in Miami on November 26 after 27 shows.Tickets for the UK dates cost from £55-£160 and are available from next Friday (16.05.08)Madonna's latest album, 'Hard Candy', debuted at number one in 27 countries.Her last tour was in 2006 and was seen by over 1.3 million people. It was the highest grossing tour of a female artist at the time.
Madonna recently played shows in New York and Paris to celebrate the release of 'Hard Candy'. Her next live performance is for free music event Radio 1's Big Weekend in Kent, England, on Saturday (10.05.08).
