Moore's Sympathies for Flood Victims

Mandy Moore urged fans to say a New Year prayer for victims of the devastating floods in Australia.

Thousands of families have been evacuated and 41 areas of Queensland declared natural disaster zones as downpours continue to blight communities and cut off towns in the state.

The singer/actress and Tangled star Moore has been watching the disaster unfold on news footage at her home - and she took to her Twitter.com blog to send her sympathies to those affected by the tragedy.

She writes, "Sending thoughts and prayers to those in Australia affected by the massive flooding. The news footage is pretty astonishing."
