Marion 'Suge' Knight Loses Death Row.... Hip-hop mogul Marion 'Suge' Knight
has lost control of Death Row Records after filing for bankruptcy earlier this year (06).US bankruptcy judge Ellen Carroll ordered trustees to take over the label, claiming the company has suffered gross mismanagement.She told a Los Angeles hearing on Friday (07Jul06), "It seems apparent there is no-one at the helm."
Knight, who was not present at the hearing, filed for bankruptcy after he was ordered to pay more than $100 million (£57 million) to former associate Lydia Harris, who claims she helped him set up Death Row.'Suge' Knight Sued Again.. Meanwhile Hip-hop mogul Marion 'Suge' Knight is facing further legal action over his April 2006 bankruptcy filing.Knight, who last week (07Jul06) lost control of Death Row Records in court due to gross mismanagement, is being sued by former associates Lydia and Michael 'Harry-O' Harris who are seeking to exclude the debt of more than $100 million (£57 million) owed to Lydia Harris from any discharge Knight could receive in the bankruptcy process.Lydia was awarded the settlement after a court ruled she bought 50 per cent ownership of the label when she helped Knight create it.
