Mark Ronson’s dream of recording another track with Amy Winehouse has come crashing to the ground after the troubled singer failed to turn up to the studio to finish their Quincy Jones tribute.

The superproducer was at the mixing deck for Winehouse's 2006 global smash LP Back To Black and the pop star returned the favour the following year by singing Valerie for Ronson's covers album Version.

But the pair failed to recreate their magic last summer when they were approached to compose a Bond theme for Quantum Of Solace - with White Stripes rocker Jack White and Alicia Keys eventually landing the song.

Ronson was due to return to the studio with his muse to record a new version of Lesley Gore's You Don't Own Me for an upcoming album in honor of music industry legend Jones.

But their collaboration has reportedly been dropped from the project - and a disappointed Ronson appears to have given up hope on convincing Winehouse to fly back from St Lucia to wrap up the project.

He says, "The track isn't finished and she's not around. If she's not here then, unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about it."

It's the latest in a series of devastating career blows for Winehouse, who was recently forced to abandon plans for a comeback concert in London days after she was admitted to hospital on the Caribbean island.
