Marr Confirms Memoirs Deal

The book won't be ready until at least 2013.

Johnny Marr has confirmed he is to tell all about his time in The Smiths by writing his memoirs - but the book won't hit shelves for at least two years.

The guitarist revealed earlier this year he has been offered a deal to pen his autobiography, and now he's confirmed he has agreed to write his life story.

It will be several years before he even starts work on the project - because the busy musician wants to give his rock 'n' roll duties priority.

Marr tells NME magazine, "It is happening. I'm going to leave it a couple of years yet, because it will take me away from making music. But that is the next thing after writing a few records - definitely."
