Dr. Dre hopes his hologram extravaganza at Coachella over the weekend (14-15Apr12) will inspire other acts to bring icons back from the dead - he wants to see projections of Marvin Gaye and Jimi Hendrix on the stage.
Hopefully, different artists are able to bring out their favourite artists
The rap mogul and Snoop Dogg wowed the crowd at the music event on Sunday (15Apr12) when a hologram of late star Tupac Shakur 'performed' Ain't Nothin' Like A Gangsta Party alongside the duo.
And Dre is adamant the showstopping finale will start a trend of resurrecting late superstars through technology - and he wants to see his peers perform with Gaye and guitar legend Hendrix in the near future.
He tells MTV News, "I think everybody's in love with it right now, so we're having fun. Hopefully, different artists are able to bring out theirfavourite artists. Hopefully, we can see Jimi Hendrix and Marvin Gaye.
"Let's see what happens... there's a technology that's happening where the hologram could be 360 degrees.
Right now it's flat, it just looks like it's three-dimensional from the front, but I'm working on some new and different things for the future".
