Sir Paul McCartney paid tribute to his former Beatles band mate John Lennon to mark the 30th anniversary of his death in 1980.
McCartney performed on America’s Saturday Night Live three days after the anniversary.
He performed songs by the Beatles like “A Day In The Life.”
The host Paul Rudd said once McCartney had finished the moving mini set: “Well, this won’t be topped.”
McCartney also appeared in some comedy sketches throughout the show alongside Rudd and Andy Samberg.
John Lennon was murdered by Mark Chapman on 8 December 1980.
