McCartney Is A Granddad Again

Sir Paul now has eight grandchildren.

The Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney is a grandfather again - his daughter Mary gave birth to a son on Saturday.

Little Sid is Mary's fourth child.

Her husband, writer/director Simon Aboud, announced the happy news on his Twitter.com page, writing, "Thanks to my amazing wife, our beautiful son Sid arrived safe and sound on Saturday to join our wonderful gang."

Aboud also tweeted a photo of their newborn dozing peacefully in bed.

The proud parents, who wed last year, already have a three-year-old son, while Mary also has two sons from her first marriage to TV producer Alistair Donald.

Little Sid makes Sir Paul a grandfather to eight - his fashion designer daughter Stella also has four children.
