Megadeath Frontman Dave Mustaine On 'Cocaine'

Dave Mustaine pleased to quit drugs and stay the same. Megadeath frontman DAVE MUSTAINE is relieved he managed to quit his hard drug addiction without compromising his lifestyle or personality. The NO MORE MR NICE GUY rocker is glad to be clean, and he is quick to emphasise he has not turned his body into a temple as many remorseful addicts do. He says, "I don't use drugs anymore, but I'm not like those Hollywood nuts who become fundamentalist of a healthy lifestyle. I still like to have a drink, and I enjoy a good cigar when I have something to celebrate." Mustaine is convinced he entered rehab at just the right time and has no regrets about his druggy past because it still contributes to the person he is today. He adds, "It was one of the most difficult things I had to confront. I lived in a state of interior negation, which made it much more difficult. However, I don't regret it. All these things, good and bad, are what made me who I am today." The rocker has also quashed reports he is leaving MEGADETH to pursue a solo career. During a gig in Buenos Aires, Argentina, last month (OCT05) the NO MORE MR NICE GUY star delighted fans by breaking the news they'd been hoping for from the stage.He said, "I told you earlier tonight that I was gonna let all of you know first before the rest of the world what our decision was - whether of not we were gonna continue with Megadeth or not. "The answer is yes (we will continue as a band)."
