Two men have been charged with fraud for allegedly falsely advertising a concert featuring performances from Lady GaGa and Adam Lambert.

Fans of the stars who had paid out between $100 (£67) and $200 (£133) for tickets to a private event in West Virginia last month were left fuming after discovering it was a scam and the singers had not been booked for the event.

Police officials say ticket sales totalled more than $17,800 (£11,877), and on Friday, Sherman Luke Loy and Dean R. DeSana, both 45, turned themselves into cops in Martinsburg in relation to the scam.

They were charged with one count of obtaining money by false pretence and released on bail, according to the Associated Press. Both men deny the charge.
