Veteran star Meryl Streep feels sorry for young actresses hunting for work in Hollywood, as female roles are so similar and often "indistinguishable".
The 62 year old has enjoyed a successful and lengthy career with variedparts in recent box office smashes including The Devil Wears Prada, It'sComplicated and Mamma Mia! Streep's roles have been wide-ranging, but she is worried that interesting parts for younger stars are more limited.
She tells Empire magazine, "From The Devil Wears Prada to Mamma Mia!, it's been a wide variety. Maybe that's because they don't know what to do with me. It's really fun. "I feel sorry for the young girls because parts these days are cookie-cutter.
One after another, indistinguishable".
