British pop star Mika was left red-faced when his application for a new mobile phone was turned down - because he had no money.The singer, whose album Life in Cartoon Motion has sold almost 2 million copies worldwide, was told by shop staff he did not have a reliable credit history and was laughed out of the store.He says, "The salesman was determined that I was not getting a phone from him.
