Miley Cyrus supports fight against Aussie building campaign

Miley Cyrus has got behind a campaign to block a housing development in Australia which threatens to change the face of a picturesque coastal area where her boyfriend grew up.

The teenage pop star is dating Aussie actor Liam Hemsworth, who spent much of his childhood in Phillip Island in Victoria.

Environmental activists are currently fighting plans to build a housing estate on 23 acres of coastal farmland in the township of Ventnor, and Cyrus has now added her support to the campaign.

In a tweet she compares the fight to the 1992 animated film FernGully: The Last Rainforest and urges fans to spread the word avout the Phillip Island situation.
