Winehouse's Dad To Play Gig

He'll be performing for the first time since Amy's death.

Amy Winehouse's father is to perform his first gig since the star's death in July when he sings at a charity boxing match.

Mitch Winehouse was preparing to play a set at a New York jazz club when he discovered his beloved daughter had passed away at her home in Camden, London.

Now he's taking to the stage for the first time since the tragedy to provide the entertainment at a boxing match which will raise money for Cancer Research U.K.

Winehouse has also promised to donate his fee for the show to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which he has set up with the help of U.K. government officials to provide rehabilitation for youngsters addicted to drugs and alcohol.

The event will take place in the British capital on 22 October.
