My Morning Jacket have been forced to scrap their entire European tour - because singer/guitarist Jim James has yet to fully recover from injuries sustained at a recent concert. The star, real name James Olliges Junior, reportedly slipped and fell onstage 30 minutes into a show at the University of Iowa earlier this month, prompting the Southern rock group to cancel the remainder of the gig.According to reports, James hit his head in the fall, which happened in between songs. He was discharged from hospital just one day later - but is still not ready to return to the stage for My Morning Jacket's November tour. In a statement to fans, the group says, "We would like to extend our gratitude for your support and understanding. Our hope was to merely postpone the tour, but as our scheduling does not allow that to happen in the immediate future, we feel it is best to cancel this tour in hopes of rescheduling at some point."We would also like to say 'thank you' to all the fans who have reached out to Jim with their well-wishes as we all hope for his speedy and full recovery."
