Mya Completes New York Marathon

Mya is celebrating after completing the New York Marathon on Sunday (06Nov11).

The Case of the Ex hitmaker joined thousands of fellow runners to race across the five boroughs of the Big Apple in the 26.2 mile (42.19 kilometre) challenge to raise funds for the animal rescue and adoption charity, the North Shore Animal League - but she knew it wouldn't be easy.

In a post on her Twitter.com blog before the marathon, she wrote, "I think today might be the most challenging day of my entire life so far.

"Up for the challenge, but need your prayers and encouragement!" However, Mya managed to brave the cold temperatures and crossed the finish line in just under seven hours.

An ecstatic Mya uploaded a photo of herself alongside the caption, "We did it! My trainer Alex and I at the finish line! Bladddow!"
