Cobain Tops Dead Earners List.... Tragic Nirvana star Kurt Cobain has toppled Elvis Presley as the king of dead celebrities.After years of topping Forbes.com's annual list of the top earning dead celebrities, the king of rock 'n' roll has ceded his crown to the Smells Like Teen Spirit singer.The list, published yesterday (24Oct06), claims the grunge icon, who shot himself in 1994, 'earned' a whopping $50 million (£27.8 million) between October 2005 and October 2006.Presley fell to number two on the new list, with $42 million (£23.3 million).The top spot on the new Forbes list marks the first time Cobain has appeared on the death chart since its inception in 2000.
