Nas Shares Birthday Wishes With Winehouse

Rapper Nas is helping to keep Amy Winehouse's memory alive by sharing hisbirthday with the late soul star on Wednesday (14Sep11).

The I Can hitmaker was flooded with best wishes from fans and famous friends like Talib Kweli and producer Swizz Beatz on his Twitter.com blog as he celebrated turning 38, but Nas is using his big day to honour Winehouse, who would have turned 28 on the same day.

He is urging his devotees to remember the tragic Back To Black star by making her birthday a 'trending topic' on the social networking site.

In a tweet, he writes, "Thanks for the HappyBirthdayNas love... Don't forget my sis HappyBirthdayAmy!" Winehouse was found dead at her London home in July (11).

Her parents Mitch and Janis marked her birthday by launching The Amy Winehouse Foundation in her memory to support vulnerable young people, including those battling addiction and ill health.
