Ne-Yo Not Interested In Yung Berg Feud....

NE-YO is refusing to get caught up in a feud with Yung Berg after accusing the rapper of showing a lack of creativity in his music. The R&B star and Closer hitmaker, real name Shaffer Smith, recently appeared on Los Angeles radio show Big Boy's Neighborhood, where the singer was asked who he'd like to slap.Ne-Yo called out the Sexy Can I rapper, claiming he copied T-Pain and Lil Wayne by using a vocoder on his track The Business. An angry Yung Berg responded to Ne-Yo's accusations in an online video blog, in which he mocked the star and questioned his sexuality. But Ne-Yo has brushed off the video attack, which he's yet to see, insisting he's too mature to respond to the taunts. He tells Mtv.com, "Response for what? That ain't my lane, dude. I don't beef.I don't do that. That ain't my thing. I don't do dis records. I don't do beef.I don't do any of that blogs talking about cats. I don't do that. That ain't my thing. I'm a grown man. I got money to make.".

However, Ne-Yo continues to blame artists like Yung Berg for "killing music".

He adds, "I can't work with people that's doing this for the fame element or the money element. I think that's what's destroying music. You got cats out here that are copycatting and doing stuff that's popular. You know, doing it because that's what's in right now, whatever the case may be - but basically what you're doing is killing music. You're killing the creative element of what this is, which was the basis of this whole thing, which is self-expression.".

In other news the R&B hitmaker NE-YO is taking his fledgling acting career one step further - he's to star in and executive produce new movie Venice Beach.

The Closer singer, real name Shaffer Smith, made his acting debut in 2006's Save The Last Dance 2, and went on to land a part in last year's (07) Stomp The Yard.

But Ne-Yo is now looking to get involved in the movie production side of Hollywood with the release of Venice Beach. The movie, written by Step Up's Duane Adler, is about an 18-year-old woman who goes in pursuit of her singing dreams after meeting a successful musician, played by Ne-Yo.

In addition to his roles in front of and behind the camera, Ne-Yo will also write the soundtrack to the film, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
