Furtado Signs Support Act to Record Deal

Nelly Furtado has signed her former support act to her new record label, and will release their upcoming hits album via Nelstar.

Toronto, Canada band Fritz Helder and The Phantoms are the singer/songwriter's first signed act.

I've been thinking about a way to help Fritz Helder for a while and this venture grew out of my love for the band, their art and their work ethic

She says, "I've been thinking about a way to help Fritz Helder for a while and this venture grew out of my love for the band, their art and their work ethic. I am as committed as they are to bringing their creativity to the world".

Helder and his band previously toured with Furtado, and they have also supported Lady Gaga live.
