Nickelback's multi-million deal

Nickelback have become the latest artists to sign a multi-million pound deal with Live Nation.The Canadian rockers follow in the footsteps of Madonna, U2, Jay-Z and Shakira in a signing a three-year deal with the organisation, which sees the company handle virtually all of the band's affairs, including global recording, touring and merchandise.The band have reportedly signed for around $65 million in a three-album, three-tour deal. However, they still have two more records to make for their current label, Road Runner Records, before the new contract begins.Live Nation will also handle broadcast and literary rights, DVD sales, fan club and website for the band.Nickleback's current album, 'All The Right Reasons, is the third best selling release in the UK this yearShakira signed her $70 million deal with Live Nation last week, which is expected to be finalised by the end of the year.
