Noel Gallagher was left scrambling to make it to a recent Las Vegas gig on time when he was "stranded" in Los Angeles after his flight was axed.
The former Oasis star was fuming when staff at Los Angeles International Airport told him his plane had been cancelled just hours before he was due to take to the stage with his band Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.
And he admits it was a stressful journey to Sin City as he was left with no other option but to rent a car and drive through the desert to his concert.
In a post on his blog, he recalls, "That day was a f**king nightmare...I decided to fly to Vegas on the day of the gig. Not something one would ordinarily do as it can be fraught with danger.
"So... got to the airporton time, checked in and all that, sat around for 2 b**tard hours until some c**t announced that the flight had been cancelled!!
"Not to worry though thought I, we still have plenty of time. We'll just get the next one... can't we?? Nah... the next one was fully booked leaving me stranded!!
"Had to negotiate trying to get my bags OFF the airplane that had been cancelled only to be told that they'd already been bookedon to the flight after that!!!
"So...had to leave my bags at LAX and hire a car to drive me 6 B**TARD HOURS through the desert to try and make the gig! "The scenery was incredible and I did get to stop at a Burger King (I ain't been in one of those joints for YEARS!) which was nice..".
The rocker eventually made it to The Pearl Theatre and took to the stage 40 minutes late.
He adds, "Was supposed to be onstage at 9pm. Didn't arrive until 935. Walked straight in and onstage at 940!! Felt like Elvis... that may havebeen the burger though?!?! Great gig".
