Arrests Made At Oasis Gig

An Oasis concert in Coventry, England on Tuesday (07Jul09) was marred by violence - 14 people were arrested after fighting broke out during the gig.

The Wonderwall hitmakers played to a sell-out crowd at the Ricoh Arena but the evening's entertainment was disrupted by a series of brawls whichbroke out among the crowd.

Police pounced on the offenders, who allegedly began throwing glasses and yelling abuse at other gig-goers, and 14 were detained for disorderly behaviour.

A source tells British newspaper The Sun, "A glass smashed next to a girl's foot, it missed by inches".

The trouble mirrors similar scenes at Oasis' gig in Edinburgh last month (Jun09), where fighting between revellers led to ending in eight arrests and a man needing medical attention after he was viciously beaten by a group of thugs.
