Paolo Nutini’s Number One Album

Well here’s something I didn’t expect this weekend; Paolo Nutini’s new album, Sunny Side Up has steamed right into the charts at number one.

It would seems that the sexy Scottish star is the most in demand musician at the moment, forcing Australian artist Daniel Merriweather into the number two spot with his new release, Love & War, whilst Eminem's Relapse fell from one to three.

Paul Potts, who was hoping the current Britain's Got Talent publicity would blag him the top spot only made it to number five with his Passione.

Sadly though, it wasn’t all about good music in the singles chart, as the Black Eyed Peas returned to the number one spot with the rather annoying Boom Boom Pow, but at least it kept Dizzee Rascal down in number two with the equally annoying Bonkers.
