Sir Paul McCartney honoured his late friend and Beatles bandmate John Lennon, by toasting to him at his wedding reception.
The singer exchanged vows with Nancy Shevell on Lennon's 71st birthday and McCartney pair tribute by dedicating a speech to his friend.
Shevell's cousin, newswoman Barbara Waleters was at the nuptials at the weekend and when she returned to her chat show The View on Monday, she said: "There was a party later on in the tent at Paul's house, (it's a) beautiful backyard. There was a toast that Paul made to John Lennon, his 71st birthday it was, and Paul's son James made a toast and Nancy's son (did too)."
The event's atmosphere was said to be very casual, with the bride and groom changing into jeans to enjoy their party.
She added: "And she (Shevell) wore, by the way, a long sort of plum colored chiffon dress. And then they went upstairs and put on jeans and T-shirts."
