Pink wanted to confront West after Swift attack

Singer Pink wishes she had won Taylor Swift's Mtv Video Music Award at Sunday's (13Sep09) controversial show - so she could have challenged Kanye West to a fight when he made his outrageous protest against the prizewinner.

The rapper shocked the star-studded crowd at New York's Radio City Music Hall when he stormed the stage as she accepted the award for Best Female Video - her first ever Mtv Vma trophy.

West grabbed the mic and insisted the singer's fellow nominee Beyonce should have been the winner, shouting, "Taylor, I'm really happy for you, I'm gonna let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time".

Pink was one of several stars who logged online and blasted West on Twitter.com after the incident, snarling "Kanye West is the biggest piece of s**t on earth. Quote me".

And the singer insists if she had won the award, West would have been left nursing some bloody wounds for stealing the spotlight.

She says, "I was there. It was the one time I really, really wished I would've won because I had this amazing Alexander McQueen (designer) pursewith brass knuckles on it. Honestly, I don't think it would've happened if I was there (on stage). But Taylor Swift is awesome...I think he's just a waste, he's an idiot, he's a toolbox".
