The Pixies to include 'lost cities' on their tour

The Pixies are thanking fans for their support over the years by extending their American tour to include all the 'lost cities' where they have never played before.

The group will embark on the Lost Cities tour in October taking in towns such as Wilmington in Delaware, Portland, Maine, and Santa Fe in New Mexico.

A post on the band's website reads: "Here comes your band... We are pleased to announce our fall 2011 Doolittle Lost Cities tour, playing cities we've never visited across the US of A."

The tour will kick off in Montclair, New Jersey on 27 October and wrap up in Santa Cruz, California on 21 November.
