Latifah Sued By Beauty Team

Queen Latifah is at the centre of an ugly legal battle - she is facing two lawsuits over accusations she failed to pay her make-up artist and stylist over $1 million (£700,000) in fees.

In two separate suits filed in a Manhattan court on Monday (30Mar09) the rapperactress is accused of owing money to celebrity cosmetologist Roxanna Floyd and stylist Susan Moses.

Floyd claims she is owed $700,000 (£500,000) for work she providedbetween July 2005 and February 2008.

Meanwhile, stylist Susan Moses states Latifah failed to adhere to a payment of $300,000 (£214,000) for the same period.

The star's representative, Amanda Silverman, insists the lawsuits have no merit, but cannot comment further due to legal reasons.
