Moore Beat Bilson to Tangled Role

Actress Rachel Bilson felt her Disney dreams melting away when she realised she was up against Mandy Moore for the lead singing role in animated movie musical Tangled.

The former The O.C. star was thrilled to learn movie bosses were interested in auditioning her for the part of Rapunzel in the 2010 film, but her hopes were dashed when she turned up for her test and discovered singeractress Moore was the girl she was up against.

Bilson explains, "I'm such a Disney nerd. Every Disney princess, every movie, I love it all... I had an audition for Tangled. I sang Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen and I went in right before Mandy Moore. "I was totally mortified.
