Zack de la Rocha and Tom Morello sparked a 200-strong protest after police reportedly refused to let them perform at a political rally on Tuesday (02.09.08)The Rage Against The Machine musicians - famed for criticising the US government in their lyrics - sang some of their hit tracks over a megaphone at Minnesota's left-wing event Ripple Effect, backed by angry fans.The pair belted out hits including 'Bulls On Parade' and 'Killing In The Name' from behind barriers, and led the protestors in a chorus of the group's signature line 'F**k you, I won't do what you tell me'. The band were said to have arrived too late to be allowed to play, but stage manager Caitlin Burns claims the cops were to blame.She said: "A state patrolman held the band and wouldn't let them enter until it was too late."
