Red Hot Chilli Peppers Set For an August Album Release

The Red Hot Chilli Peppers are planning to release a brand new album, ready in time for this summer.

The band made the announcment at the 2011 Coachella Festival, and will be there 10th album since they first formed in 1985.

Fans have rejoiced that the band are continuing to record after a two year hiatus from 2007-2009, and this will be their first album since taking on new guitarist Josh Klinghoffer.

The album is currently untitled and will be released in the last week of August.

Drummer Chad Smith said, "It's been going good. We got lots of songs, we're just choosing the ones that are gonna be on the album. It sounds great."
