Rick Ross returns to the stage

Rick Ross returned to the stage on Wednesday for the first time since his health scare last month.

He was there to support his rap protege Wale at his album release concert in New York.

The heavyweight hip-hop star was forced to pull out of live shows after he suffered two mid-air seizures in Octover which saw him hospitalised for a short time.

Ross has since blamed the seizures on lack of sleep and so he made sure he was well-rested on Wednesday to rejoin his MMG group member Wale to celebrate the releasse of the rapper's new album.

Ross did not take to the mic, but hung out onstage and nodded along to songs, while he rapped along to his lyrics on the collaborative tracks.

The Aston Martin Music hitmaker was the only big name appearance as R&B star Ne-Yo made was also there to perform.

MMG's Meek Mill also hit the stage, along with up-and-coming rappers French Montana and Black Cobain, who helped Wale perform Bait during the show's finale.
