Martin Wants a Baby Girl

Pop star Ricky Martin is keen to add to his family in 2012 - he wants a baby daughter.

I think that I'll do it later on this year, so that (the kids) are not too far apart in ages

The Livin' La Vida Loca singer became a father to twin boys Matteo and Valentino in 2008, via a surrogate, and now he's keen to add a little feminine magic to his household.

The gay star tells Latina magazine, "I think that I'll do it later on this year, so that (the kids) are not too far apart in ages. (I'd like) a little girl!"

But he admits he has put plans to wed his partner Carlos Gonzalez Abella on hold, adding, "We are not talking about it, we're not thinking aboutit".

When the time comes, however, Martin hopes to wed in Spain, where he was recently made a citizen.

He explains, "I'm so happy that in Europe we have the option. It's amazing to think that we can say, 'I feel like it. I'm ready. Let's go!'"
