Rihanna Takes Witness Stand

Rihanna is expected to break her silence regarding the Chris Brown incident today as she takes to the witness stand in his trial.
The singer can look forward to endless questions about the choking, biting and "barrage of punches" she allegedly received during a pre-Grammy fight in February.
Although Rihanna was reluctant to stand at the trial, she was subpoenaed by prosecutors because without her, the lawyers would find it hard to gather sufficient evidence to try Brown on felony charges of assault and making criminal threats. Brown, obviously, has pleaded not guilty.
Although Brown's lawyer, Mark Geragos, tried his best to postpone today’s hearing, it looks set to go ahead as planned, despite the questionable internal police records who leaked a police photo of Rihanna's bruised and bloody face to gossip site TMZ.com.
Geragos said the files might offer ammunition he could use to attack the credibility of any police officers called to the stand… is it just me, or does this seem a little bit like clutching at straws?
