It’s the news we’ve all been waiting for; Robbie Williams has told the nation he wants to leave the aliens behind and return to the glory days of take that. Well maybe not leave the aliens… we don’t quite know his stance on that.

The singer, 34, has recently had his old group's symbol tattooed on his right arm, and according to The Sun he has admitted that he would; “Love to be in the band again.” Wahey!

Despite living in Los Angeles for the past five years, Robbie has recently bought a whopping £7million historic Wiltshire mansion, from which he plans to launch his charm offensive to promote his swish new album next year.

But maybe he's getting lonely out on the road by himself as he has been looking over his shoulder at his former bandmates and I think he's getting a little tinge of jealousy over what could have been, despite claiming to be over the moon for his old group.

Last night he commented; “I’d like to think we’d be the only band in the history of music to get together because of artistic differences.” Yes Robbie, as do we, so get it sorted! Please!

But will the boys have him back now that they have proven they can make it without the huge solo star? Gary Barlow, 37 and pals Mark Owen, 36, Jason Orange, 38 and Howard Donald, 40 made a huge comeback two years ago and have enjoyed unrivalled success ever since.

Don't just take my word for it though, their latest album, The Circus sold 432,000 copies last week and further 120,000 so far this week and is on course for a million sales by Christmas. On top of that, the guys also shifted 700,000 tickets for their stadium tour in a matter of minutes last month.

But I mean come one, what is Take That without Robbie, still pretty good yeah, but we want Robbie Back For Good. Please!

Don't do it, Rob. You don't need them and they don't need you. Just work on your new stuff and get an album out as soon as possible. Chop chop!
