Roger Daltrey To Tour With Simon Townshend

ROGER DALTREY is to join legendary rocker Pete Townshends brother on a tour of THE WHO's famous rock opera TOMMY.
 
  The band's lead singer Daltrey performed the Light My Fire hitmakers' seminal 1969 album in its entirety at a charity gig in London last month.

  Now he has announced he's taking the show on the road in July - and he'll be keeping the spirit of the original tracks alive by enlisting The Who guitarist Townshend's younger brother Simon as part of his backing band.

 Simon has regularly played with The Who on their tours and joined them on their 1996 Quadrophenia tour.
 
 Pete Townshend says, "I will be there in spirit and Roger has my complete and most loving support."
