Following recent troubles, Russell Watson is still going ahead with the release of new album Outside In, as he believes he owes it to his fans. His record company released this statement today:Russell is presently recovering at home. He had been advised by both ourselves and his record label to delay the scheduled release of his new record. His response was resolute and in his own words ‘there is absolutely no way that this record is to be delayed’. ‘After what I have just been through and with the near future in doubt it is unclear when and if there will be a good time to release the record.' This has led to the decision that I would like the record to go ahead as planned. Although I won’t be actively promoting the record it is more for the fans who have waited long enough for this.’Russell’s management said ‘With it still uncertain of when and if he will have to undergo a period of radiotherapy treatment we cannot make any more plans for the near future’.Russell has also sent a personal message:To all my wonderful, caring and loyal fans, you have once again been there for me when it mattered. I don’t know where to start or if words can truly expresses the emotions I have felt in the last 3 weeks.

Firstly I want to thank every single person who has sent get well wishes and gifts. This show of support and love, along with the love that I have received from my family & friends has really been the difference in helping me get through such a difficult time.

There is still uncertainty ahead but with all your support I am sure it will make the journey ahead a little less fraught.
