Hip-hop mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs has launched an online campaign to help land an old college pal the job of Mayor of Atlanta, Georgia.
The rapper befriended politician Kasim Reed as a youth when they both attended the historically black Howard University in Washington, D.C. Reed is now running for local office and Diddy is calling on all his fans living in Atlanta to head to the polls on Tuesday (03Nov09) and help get him into office.
In a series of posts on his Twitter.com page, Diddy writes, "In Atlanta GA. There is a brilliant young man running for Mayor of Atl! His name isKasim Reed! He is the future! I endorse Kasim Reed! "I went to Howard univ.

Diddy has previously used his large following on the social networking site to drum up support for Barack Obama during the run-up to the U.S. presidential elections last November (08).
