SHERYL CROW put on a free concert in her fiance LANCE ARMSTRONG's adopted hometown of Austin, Texas, earlier this month (OCT05) to thank the residents for supporting him during his cancer battle. The ALL I WANNA DO singer, 43, played the show on 2 October (05), nine years to the day that her man was diagnosed with testicular cancer. And survivor Armstrong, who attended the show with his three young children, even got in on the act - he played the drums on a cover of ZZ TOP's GIMME ALL YOUR LOVIN'. After watching her champion cyclist beau play the drums, Crow joked, "When I found out he could do that too, boy, I was p**sed!"

THE ROLLING STONES VIDEO LANDS DAYTIME SOAP DEBUT

The members of THE ROLLING STONES have chosen an unusual forum to premiere their new music video - during an episode of US daytime soap DAYS OF OUR LIVES. The video for STREETS OF LOVE will be unveiled to viewers of the series on Tuesday (18OCT05), and will become part of the show for the month following, when it is used to underscore storylines suggested by the song's themes of love and loss. Part of the reason for the pairing is that both the band, held up as anti-establishment figureheads in their heyday, and the show are celebrating their 40th anniversaries, reports MTV News.
