Sir Elton John is to perform a massive New Year's Eve celebration concert in London.

The Rocket Man will belt out an array of his classic hits in front of 17,000 fans at the O2 Arena in the English capital.

I can't wait to spend New Year's Eve with 17,000 of my biggest fans.

Celebrity photographer David LaChapelle will produce the concert, which comes a year after British boyband Take That staged a similar event at the venue.

The Candle in the Wind hitmaker says, "I can't wait to spend New Year's Eve with 17,000 of my biggest fans."
