Jagger's Ex Hit With Huge Rent Bill

Sir Mick Jagger's ex-wife Bianca has been hit with a $700,000 (£466,600) bill for rent payments and lawyers' fees after she lost her fight tostay in a New York City apartment.

She had always faithfully paid her rent for many years. It was only after she complained about the conditions of the apartmentthat the landlord started eviction procedures

The Rolling Stones star's former spouse was forced to move out of her two-bedroom Manhattan home in December 2007 after her landlord refused to renew her lease two years earlier.

She launched an appeal against the decision but it was quashed in 2008 - and Bianca has now been ordered by a judge to hand over $246,469 (£164,312) in back rent and $343,827 (£229,218) for legal fees.

With interest on top, her total bill comes to $708,600 (£472,400), according to the Wall Street Journal.

But former model Jagger intends to appeal against the ruling.

Her lawyer Dan Bryson says, "She had always faithfully paid her rent for many years. It was only after she complained about the conditions of the apartment that the landlord started eviction procedures".
