Sir Paul McCartney has vowed to fight a proposed vote to decide whether a ban against fox hunting in the U.K. should be lifted.
The animal-rights activist has been left disgusted after politician David Cameron - who is vying to become Britain's Prime Minister in the May elections - said he would let Members of Parliament decide whether the ban should be overturned.
Hunting foxes - a popular sport in U.K. countryside circles - was outlawed in 2004, and McCartney has called for fellow animal-protection advocates to stand against the proposal - as the sport is "cruel and unnecessary".
He says, "I, along with the majority of the British public, backed this historic victory for wildlife."
