Mccartney Snubs Osbourne Duet At Brits....

Sir Paul McCartney has disappointed pal Ozzy Osbourne by declining an opportunity to duet with the rocker at the 2008 Brit Awards.The former Black Sabbath singer - who will co-host the ceremony with his wife/manager Sharon - was ecstatic at the prospect of fulfilling his lifelong dream of sharing the stage with the former Beatle.But McCartney, 65, has since decided to perform a simple solo set instead.He says, "You can either go for something wow or just do a couple of hits - I've opted for the latter."I'm quite happy to be just doing stuff that I hope the audience will like".He adds, "This year will be outstanding - because Ozzy is presenting".The annual awards ceremony will take place in London on 20 February (08).In other Brits news pop acts Take That, Leona Lewis and Mika are all in the running for the Single Of The Year prize at Wednesday's (20Feb08) Brit Awards.

Boyband Take That's Shine, Lewis' Bleeding Love, and Mika's Grace Kelly will compete against Hoosiers' Worried About Ray and producer Mark Ronson's hit single Valerie, featuring Amy Winehouse, for the London ceremony's top gong.

The winner, voted for by the British public, will be announced at the event at the capital's Earls Court venue on Wednesday.
