Snow Patrol Track Is Decade's Most Played

Snow Patrol's track Chasing Cars is the most played song in Britain in the last decade.

I think that the song has worked because it has an emotion that people can relate to

The 2006 anthem, from the band's album Eyes Open, only reached number six in the U.K. singles chart - but it has managed to dominate British radio, TV and the internet since its release.

Take That's 2007 hit Shine came in second place, while Scissor Sisters'I Don't Feel Like Dancin' finished at three in the list compiled by music licensing body Ppl.

The Feeling's track Love It When You Call, released in 2005, and the Sugababes' About You Now rounded out the top five.

Snow Patrol singer Gary Lightbody says of his top track, "I think that the song has worked because it has an emotion that people can relate to".
