McCartney to Cameo in Absolutely Fabulous

Sir Paul McCartney's designer daughter Stella is to make her acting debut by playing herself in the revival of hit British television show Absolutely Fabulous.

Jennifer Saunders, the show's star and creator turned up at McCartney's flagship London store in character as Edina Monsoon on Tuesday (29Nov11)to switch on the Christmas lights, and now it has emerged the designer will appear in one of the comedy's upcoming Christmas specials.

McCartney tells Vogue.co.uk, "It's not exactly my idea of fun, but it's Ab Fab, and how can you say no to Ab Fab?" The episode will be filmed at the designer's store.

McCartney will be joined by former Spice Girls star Emma Bunton and singer Lulu, who are also set for cameos in the special episodes.
