Stephen Gately Funeral Set For Saturday

Stephen Gately is to be laid to rest on Saturday in his hometown of Dublin.

Spokesman for the family, Gerald Kean announced that the funeral was due to take place at noon at St Laurence O'Toole's Church, Dublin.

The Boyzone star’s body is currently being held in Majorca as the authorities there need to carry out some more tests before it can be flown back to the UK on Friday. However, his husband Andrew Cowles visited Stephen’s body in the mortuary in Calvia, near Port Andratx, last night.

Stephen was enjoying a holiday with his husband Andrew Cowles when he died in last weekend, it is thought that the couple had returned from a night out before Gately suffered a pulmonary oedema, an accumulation of fluid on the lungs.
