Sting Lost His Virginity In A Ruined Castle

4 weeks ago 20th Oct 11:31

Sting has fond memories of an ancient castle near his boyhood home - he lost his virginity there.

The former The Police frontman grew up in the north east of England and admits as a teenager he couldn't take girls back to his parents' house.

So the singer - real name Gordon Sumner - escorted his lovers to a ruined castle in the town of Tynemouth, England, and Sting admits the location is one of his favourite English landmarks, because it holds so many memories for him.

He says, "Tynemouth Castle. I lost my virginity there. It wasn't a generation where you could s**g in your own house. But it can be romantic there. It's a place famous for lovers' trysts."
