Stone Sour bassist SHAWN ECONOMAKI has left the band.
A lot has happened in the past year
The group, fronted by Slipknot star Corey Taylor, is currently working on a new album and guitarist James Root confirmed Economaki's departure by posting photos from the studio showing them recording with a mystery replacement.
In a post on his Instagram page, Root wrote, " Shawn is no longer with us. A lot has happened in the past year... We need to move forward and they'll (sic) be more detail when the time is right. He's still a great friend and we're in touch. But for now we have a mystery dude that shreds filling in for the studio".
Taylor adds in a post on Twitter.com, "As some of you might have heard but I'll confirm it Shawn Economaki is no longer with Stone Sour. We wish him luck in the future".
